Over the past 60 years, John T. Floore
Country Store has been the showcase for some of the biggest names in
American music. "The Home of Willie Nelson", this authentic Texas Honky
Tonk has hosted such stars as Bob Wills, Ernest Tubb, Patsy Cline, Hank
Williams, Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan and Merle Haggard to
name a few. Approved as a "Texas Historic Landmark" by Gov. Ann
Richards, John T. Floore has gained world fame over the past 60 years,
having been featured on "60 Minutes" news program, as well as in such
publications as National Geographic and regularly in Texas Monthly. In
the March 2001 issue of Texas Monthly, John T. Floore Country Store was
listed as one of the "50 Things Every Texan Should Do.
